Pool Hours

Please note: On Sept 8, 17, 22, and 29 both pools will be closing at 4:30 pm

OUTDOOR POOL  

August 23 - September 5 our hours are:

Monday - Thursday
5:30 am - 9:30 pm

Friday
5:30 am - 6:30 pm  

Saturday - Sunday
7:30 am - 6:30 pm

The both pools close 1/2 hour before the facility closes each day.   

Indoor and Outdoor Pool Schedule 

Weather Policy
Based on consultation with many local, regional and national agencies the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City has adopted the following general guidelines for dealing with inclement weather.

• Temperature -The outdoor pool will be opened for adult lap swimming only if
  the water temperature is at least 70 degrees. The outdoor pools will be opened
  for open swimming only if the water temperature is at least 74 degrees.
• Lightening - The outdoor pools and outdoor activities will be terminated/closed
  if lightening strikes once in a 15 mile radius or multiple times in a 30 mile radius
  of the Center.
• Heavy Rain - The outdoor pools will close if rain is heavy enough that lifeguards
  cannot clearly see the bottom of the pool. Activities in all outdoor facilities will
  be suspended when rain causes safety hazards as judged by JCC Management
  or oversight authorities.
• Severe Weather/Tornado Watch - Any time the National Weather Service issues
  a severe weather or tornado watch the JCC staff will notify members and
  guests of the potential storm.
• Severe Weather/Tornado Warning - Any time the National Weather Service
  issues a severe weather warning for the JCC area all outdoor activities will be
  suspended.

Once the outdoor pool closure occurs, reopening will be reviewed at 2 pm and 4 pm by the Aquatics Director and/or Supervisor on duty.
